We’ve all had those experiences when you walk into a home and instantly feel welcomed, and that’s the best feeling your home can exude to potential buyers. Some tips I always suggest to help sellers prepare for showings are to:
Depersonalize and pack things away- this doesn’t mean you have to take down all of your family pictures, but less is more, and remember people can be nosey and will look at them. Also remove any valuables/breakables to be on the safe side.
Leave your home during showings- Although this isn’t mandatory, it’s never comfortable for buyers (and their agents) to fully view your home when you’re there, even if that means you just step outside. They’re never going to feel like they can explore what’s behind each door and feel pressured for time to make it quick.
